AF is still a No Show

Posted by JustPJ at 10:42 PM

Happy New Year!!! New year for me and DH, new beginning, new challenges, more hopes and a lot of faith this Year of the Water Snake. So here's an update of our TTC ordeal.

To begin with, DH had his SA last January 17, 2013. The result of his SA shows a decrease on his count and an increase on his WBC, due to infection, which we understand because of the holiday break and our so called forbidden sprees. Here's DH latest SA.

DHs latest SA

Although DHs count went down from 30 Million to 25 Million in his latest SA result, both of us are still thankful because he has maintained his motility and it did not decrease. We've been working on his motility for years now and we do not want another low motility when he had improved it. With regards his infection, as shown by the WBC, good thing DH kept his prescription given to him by his Urologist to address the matter as soon as possible.

On my part, well, the title of the post says "AF is still a no show." It's been almost 3 months now since my LMP on November 5, 2012 and still no AF yet. I tried 2 pregnancy kits last December 2012 and this January 2013 but both came out negative. For peace of mind, I did an ultrasound this month and the findings says both my ovaries has more than 12 follicles measuring less than 1 cm due to polycystic ovaries. Below is the full details of my TVU last January 5, 2013.

Depressing isn't it!!! I thought Fertilaid is working on the magic but I ended up worsening my case. After 2 months of delayed AF, I still has given Fertilaid a chance to induce my period but to no avail it put my AF into a force leave vacation. Thus, to conclude it, Fertilaid is not compatible with my reproductive system but it does works with DH. What matters, I believe, is that we have found a fertility supplement for DH since we've been looking and searching for years just to improved his count and motility.

To date, I am currently on CD79, my longest ever of not having AF. I am really waiting for AF for me to move on and start our infertility work up this year. I have on my list my chosen new OB after months of researching the net. Her name is Dr. Mae Syki-Young of Makati Medical Center and yet my AF is still nowhere to be found.

Yesterday, however, I started taking duphaston to help me induce my AF. I have to take 1 tablet a day for 10 days. I just hope and pray AF will show anytime soon.
